Why TESOL?
You ever heard the expression, "Whatever you hate the most is exactly what you will end up doing"? Well it holds true for me. I never particularly cared for the academic subject "English" or "Language Arts" or the field at all. But, I have a new found opinion of it now. Language it so fundamental to our very existence. That is all languages, not just English. But English is a dynamic language as it is the bridge to cross ethnic, cultural, and societal barriers. Because of its capacity to bring people together, it opens opportunity to reach out to others. To travel the bridge so to speak. That's where TESOL comes into play for me. I intend to use my teaching skills and TESOL certification to travel all around the world. I was raised on the south side of Chicago, but I always knew there was more to life than what I saw day to day. I want to see what else is out there and if I can take what I have learned and share it with others who may not know, then I consider that a life worth living and talking about :-)
